Botox and Dysport

Wrinkles on your face are a sign of aging. Our skin loses its elasticity due to reduced collagen, reduced elastin, smoking, and over exposure to the sun. Injectables are chemical substances that are strategically injected in areas of your face such as the bunny lines, forehead, and crows feet. These neuromodulators will focus on reducing fine lines caused by facial movement.

Botox and Dysport are both Botulinum Toxin injections, a medication which works by blocking the communication between the nerves and muscles, temporarily paralyzing the muscles in the treated area. The only difference between the two neuromodulators are the levels of concentration in each product. Dysport is more diluted than Botox, with an almost 3 to 1 split. Depending on the location of the injectable, your doctor may need more product to fill one area than another.
